How To Enjoy Romantic Sydney For Free

Sydney can be enjoyed for free! For example, strung along the Sydney Coastal Walk are the beautiful sparkling beaches of Coogee, Clovelly, Bronte, Tamarama and Bondi. You can have a great time paddling in the blue waters, building castles on the powder-white sand beaches, or just gawking at million-dollar beachside homes on the cliffs in Bronte and Tamarama.

For a quiet romantic interlude, you can appreciate the five very different beaches on a leisurely two-hour walk. A romantic a coastal walk with your partner, will be an experience to treasure.

The best time to visit Sydney is all year round. Spring, which is from September to November is great for exploring the city's sights. Summer, from December to February, is when you want to enjoy the beaches. The autumn (March to May) offers warm days and cool nights. It is chiller in the winter (June to August) but it is still a pleasant 14-16 deg C in the daytime. Night temperature drops to below 10 and is perfect for cuddling in bed.

Try the experience of lazing on a mat with your partner and watch the free firework at the beaches. Pizza and champagne optional. The fireworks usually take place in the summer months from December to February. The Coogee and Bondi beaches often have fireworks on Christmas, New Year's Eve and Australia Day, which is on Jan 26.

The famous Bondi is sprawling and well commercialised. The Bronte Beach is ideal for families with a great playground, quaint beachfront homes and a mini-train ride. To avoid if you do not want to mingle with the families and children. Clovelly is very cosy. There is a free-for-use swimming pool next to the sea for the less adventurous.

October and November is a good time to do the coastal walk. That is when artists set up their stunning sculptures along the coast for the Sculpture by the Sea exhibition - they make for some very interesting sights.

Picnic in the Parks

Sydney's Royal Botanic Gardens are great places for picnic. They are a repository of stunning nooks and crannies where you can easily while away the day.Located right in the centre of the city, the gardens are arranged in the shape of a giant letter U, with the Opera House on one end and Mrs Macquarie's Chair on the other. A beautiful body of water fills up the U. Anywhere here is a great place for a picnic. The ground is dry and seemingly free of creepy crawlies. The best spot is at Mrs Macquarie's Chair, named after a stone seat where the wife of Major-General Lachlan Macquarie, governor of New South Wales from 1810 to 1821, liked to sit and gaze at the sea. With its rolling green lawns, the huge trees providing ample shades and a great view of the blue harbour, this spot is a great for photgraphy as well. The Royal Botanic Gardens are also where you can get one of the best views of the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
