You have enough of seafood? Then, go for a fun excursion to visit the historic downtown of Mystic, North of New London. This is once a busy whaling port, now the downtown area is speckled with boutiques, restaurants, galleries, and you can a sailboat for a romantic day or evening excursion.

Mystic Seaport and Aquarium

The Mystic Seaport is a museum set up like an old whaling town. Do visit the Mystic Aquarium, which has a great outdoors section with seals and beluga whales. The Mystic Aquarium boasts some of the most wonderful exhibits and it is not just for children. Give it a try, you will be charmed taking a relaxed stroll through the complex. Walk and enjoy your partner's company. Enjoy the moment.

The historic downtown of the smaller villages of Essex, Old Lyme, and Stonington are also quite charming. Definite worth a visit.
